The entire area surrounding the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, of 38,000 square meters, is a large park open to the public with a double threshold of use: the natural outdoor continuation of the activities of the Auditorium and a large green area open to the city. The large park of the Auditorium is articulated as a large semi-annular promenade with trees, rich in Mediterranean vegetation: olive trees, oaks, pines, holm oaks, limes, maples, ivy. It can be visited during the opening hours of the Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone: every day, from 11:00 to 18:00. Inside the gardens of the Auditorium there is also a play area for children, while on the roof park there is an urban vegetable garden. The garden – created with the collaboration of the Fondazione Musica per Roma – is one of the projects promoted by the Valerio Daniel De Simoni Association, with offices in Rome and Sydney. The Valerio Daniel de Simoni organic garden is a city reference point to promote biodiversity and biological quality, to disseminate the importance of seasonal cycles, local products and eco-sustainable agriculture. Defined as a culture planted above culture, it is shared with curious or passionate visitors, the children of the Elementary Schools of the district and the guests of two Family Homes (to which most of the products are destined).
