Located in the heart of San Francisco, the museum is home to one of the world’s finest collections of Asian art, boasting more than 18,000 awe-inspiring artworks ranging from ancient jades and ceramics to contemporary video installations.
An architectural gem featuring a blend of beaux arts style and modern design elements, the Asian Art Museum has several event spaces ideal for corporate events, meetings, weddings, anniversary, celebrations, and more. The museum’s diverse and adaptable spaces provide the perfect setting for launch parties, formal seated dinners or presentations. Whether you plan to welcome a few dozen guests or more than two thousand, the museum has many unique options. From the historic grandeur of Samsung Hall to the new 7,000 square foot East West Bank Art Terrace debuting in spring 2020, we’ll help you find the space that best suits your event, your guests, and your style.
The museum has a list of nine approved caterers who can provide food and beverage service for your event. Clients must select one of the nine caterers. Outside caterers are not permitted nor is there an option to pay a fee to permit a caterer outside of the museum’s approved list.
The museum can provide in-house A/V support for events, including microphones, sound system, CD players, risers/staging, video projection, and other equipment. Onsite tech support during the event is included with equipment rental. Clients may also arrange for audiovisual services through a vendor.
