For more than 700 years from 1214 to 1945, the Palatinate and Bavaria formed a dynastic or state-political unit. After 1945 , the regional association of the Palatinate in Bavaria, whose board of directors manages the wine tavern, together with the Bavarian state government, initiated a referendum to restructure the Palatinate back to Bavaria. This referendum failed in 1956. Since it was founded in 1950, the "Pfälzer Residenz Weinstube" has been a figurehead for Palatinate wine and the Palatinate way of life in the Bavarian state capital. This room is a reminder of this, in which, among other things, paintings by the contemporary Palatinate artists Michael Heinlein and Dirk Klose with Palatinate motifs hang.
