This room is reminiscent of the rebellious Palatine imperial knight Franz von Sickingen (1481 - 1523). He supported the followers of the Reformation, quarreled with the emperor and the church and was mortally wounded when his Nanstein Castle was bombarded. The paintings by the Speyer painter Karl Graf (1902 - 1986) in this room deal with the history of Sickingen.
