Situated on the ground floor of the Palazzo di Brera; entrance via Via Brera 28; 2,000 mt2; holds up to 600 people, or 450 people in the event a layout of some kind is installed and thus takes up space. This is one of the areas that can be used for special exhibitions, concerts, fashion shows, and cocktail receptions. The portico surrounding the courtyard (dimensions of the long wing: 50.68 mt x 4.40 mt; dimensions of the short wing: 39.50 mt x 4.40 mt) is overlooked by a number of offices and the Sala della Passione (managed by the museum), the Accademia’s classrooms, the Sala Napoleonica situated beneath the south wing (managed by the Accademia, as is the former church of San Carpoforo in Via Formentini) and the Sala delle Udienze (west wing, to the right of the entrance vestibule) managed by the Istituto Lombardo di Scienze e Lettere.
