Built under Louis XV, the Hercules Room marks the start of the series of ceremonial rooms in the Palace of Versailles. Decorated with marble, Corinthian columns, and a painted ceiling depicting the Apotheosis of Hercules, the room also houses a famous painting by Veronese: the Meal at the House of Simon.
