Kyoyamato is a traditional ryotei and culinary institution serving authentic, seasonally inspired kaiseki cuisine that dates back to Japan’s Meiji era in 1877. The restaurant consists of several historic buildings including “Suikokan” a storied salon from the Edo era and a private room where feudal warlords would secretly meet. Executive Chef Masahito Atsuchi expertly prepares kaiseki cuisine as an extension of his innate philosophy consisting of the best ingredients of the seasonal harvest, beautifully presented and served in carefully selected bowls.
