Exploring Space is one of the Science Museum’s most popular attractions. This evocative gallery tells the fascinating story of space exploration and showcases satellites, probes, landers, and actual space rockets. Available for evening hire, this out-of-this-world location is the ideal landing site for a drinks reception for up to 300 people or dinner for up to 180. As you enjoy your event experience you can find out how the Space Age started with the launch of Sputnik 1 and explore how we’ve sent spacecraft to other planets, walked on the Moon, and peered into the heart of our galaxy and beyond. Your guests can marvel at a full-sized replica of the ‘Eagle’, the lander that took the astronauts Armstrong and Aldrin to the Moon in 1969, and the Soyuz TMA-19M descent module that Tim Peake returned to Earth in on 18 June 2016.
