Already a teacher in her teens, Emily Griffith believed in the transformative power of education for all, regardless of background. Her revolutionary Denver school, Opportunity, provided free education, and a second chance, as the world’s first school geared to provide basic adult education and training. Stakeholder meetings and small gatherings are infused with a sense of connection and shared purpose just like Ms Griffith would have wanted.
