The Orpheum Theater opened its doors on February 7, 1921, as one of the grandest vaudeville showplaces in the United States. The ornate and opulent, vertically designed hall, one of the few remaining, provides an auditory and visual experience second to none. The recent renovations included an adjustable orchestra floor that enables our team to host private events on the same iconic stage as our own residential Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, performances by Platinum Grammy Winning artists, all-night concerts after Jazz Fest, and movie premieres of Oscar-award-winning films for Best Picture. Without question, the Orpheum Theater is the most evolutionary theater in New Orleans. The Orpheum Theater welcomes weddings, concerts, comedy shows, Mardi Gras balls, corporate events, plays, movie premieres, galas, and business meetings under our grand ceiling, ensuring every guest can experience the aura of being in the spotlight.
