The NBA sized (94' x 50') hardwood floor makes this hall the ideal venue for basketball & volleyball events. The Main Arena has fixed arena seating for 2,000 patrons. Additional floor seating can be added for events such as concerts, boxing, or cheerleading competitions. The Alario Center has hosted numerous national and international sporting events including the 2003 Mountain Dew College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Basketball Championships (televised nationally on ESPN), the 2000 U.S.A. Weightlifting Olympic Trials (televised nationally on NBC) and the US Women's Olympic Volleyball Team exhibition match vs. Japan. In September 2003, the Alario Center hosted it's first major concert when Grammy Award winner Clint Black performed at the Alario Center. The Alario Center annually hosts the Allstate Sugar Bowl National Prep Classic, the Allstate Super 60 and numerous AAU basketball events as well as a variety of events like the NOLA National Invitational gymnastics meet and grappling events.
