The University Club of New York

Theodore Dwight Dining Room – A richly wood-paneled room on the Club’s main lobby floor, this room is an intimate dining space ideal for small weddings, cocktail receptions and private dinners. Available only on specific nights, it is the perfect private setting for an intimate affair. Special permission must be obtained from the Club in order to use these facilities.

One of the grandest dining facilities in the country, the Main Dining Room has an unparalleled architectural greatness and the capacity to accommodate up to 400 guests. It remains the Club’s most attractive space for a gala dinner or wedding reception. Adjoined to the Dining Room is the newly renovated Terrace off the West alcove, available during the warm weather months. This outdoor patio may be used in conjunction with the Main Dining Room as an outdoor space for mingling with guests while sharing cocktails. Special permission must be obtained from the Club in order to use these facilities.

This spectacular ballroom space located on the Club’s main floor, seats approximately 300 guests. It is an ideal location for a large conference, lunch or dinner meeting with a presentation in various types of seating arrangements. In addition, this space is perfect for a ceremony or smaller wedding dinner seating up to 160 guests with a dance floor. College Hall can be used in conjunction with the Theodore Dwight Dining Room facility, for a ceremony and reception, to create a very intimate and romantic venue.

This spacious, beautifully decorated, wood-paneled space with a fireplace and fresco ceiling is an ideal site for a business luncheon, intimate dinner or cocktail reception. This room is adjacent to the Breakfast Room, which is an open space that is perfect for a reception, buffet or meeting break. These rooms are situated adjacent to the Main Dining Room on the 7th floor and can be used in conjunction for a large wedding or gala event.

The four Cathedral style dining rooms on the 9th floor (1,2,3,4) reflect their original detail and beauty. Each room may be used by itself or adjacently resulting in the flexibility of a variety of set-ups to suit your needs.

The 7th floor Banquet Rooms A, B & C can be used individually or combined and their quiet and private location make them perfect for meetings, cocktail receptions or an intimate dinner party. Room A is adjacent to the newly renovated Terrace and in the warm weather months it is a nice to take advantage of this outdoor space.
