Built in the 1890’s, this landmark structure played a huge role in the American Industrial Revolution. Once a rope manufacturing center, producing twine and oakum for the shipyards along the East River, now a repurposed industrial center for events and social gatherings. The Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse (GPTW) was also adjacent to steamship, the USS Monitor. The GPTW has recently been restored and updated with close attention paid to the internal texture and aesthetic of the past. The Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse boasts original brick and wood of the era and the building façade remains untouched from the 1890s.
