The private Speakeasy Room is located on the second floor directly above the restaurant. It is accessed through the rear of the restaurant by way of a seventeen-step staircase with brass handrails on both sides. (There is no elevator access) the speakeasy room has its own private bar and private restrooms. Its original brick walls are adorned with photographs of celebrities who have visited the iconic tavern over the years. The room features an original tin ceiling, accentuated by a grand skylight and the original rosewood bar. The room’s gracious French doors open onto a Juliette balcony overlooking treelined east eighteenth street.
