James Beach Dining Room

Since the late 1970’s this room has been the Venice home for artists and locals to get together to catch up, drink and dine. On September 18, 1982; current owners James Evans and Daniel Samakow met at this bar. Fourteen years later they bought the bar and the wood top has been the site for numerous other special meetings. The wood bar top has been refinished but the wood stays the same, preserving the vibe of this historic Venice hang that offers a great view of the adjacent patio. Art is always celebrated here and a changing show of art by some of Venice’s most well known artists is always on the walls including a permanent Woods Davies floating rock sculpture set by the infamous IKB booth, one of 9 booths that invite more intimate connections. The room may be set up for seating, stations, dancing or a buffet. The room has a full sound system, air conditioning, heating and two private bathrooms.
