Thoughtfully prepared experiential chocolate tasting events and educational presentations aimed at helping participants bond over a common love while learning about this foodie favorite.
Led by a chocolate expert with 10 years of expertise in crafting tasting events, Cocoa Beantown creates memorable and meaningful experiences that are unique to every client we work with. We never use pre-selected menus or scripts, but rather work hard to build programs that are customized to each client group. Our goal is not only to blow you away with the chocolate selections and information, but also with the joyful feeling our events aim to leave you with.
Utilizes a diversity of chocolate made by small businesses that are often BIPOC or women owned. Was selected to be part of the inaugural Fenway Cohort of 2022 to provide inclusive programming to that neighborhood of Boston. Also a graduated of the 2022 spring cohort of Commonwealth Kitchen's Cultivate Small Business session for women and BIPOC owned food companies.
Regularly consults with a public health representative in procedures relative to supporting and maintain the health and safety of the communities we serve.
We are careful to select chocolate that maintains a transparency in their cocoa sourcing, as Cocoa Beantown recognizes that social justice and environmental justice are inextricably linked. Invited in 2019 to participate in Colombia Chocolate Week with Uncommon Cacao, and received a blessing from the tribal leader of the Arhuacos, an indigenous tribe in the Sierra Nevada region of Colombia, to share the stories of their ancestral cacao, and the tribe's stewardship of the environment. We have likewise created programming specifically for sharing this message.
