Overview
From AGAR
In October 2022, AGAR, alongside The Cincinnati Chamber and partners, produced the nation’s largest light, art, and projection mapping festival: BLINK Cincinnati. For four days and nights, BLINK transformed more than thirty city blocks into a global, immersive art and light exploration.
RESULTS:
- 2.2 million people gathered in Cincinnati to celebrate art, community, and culture through BLINK weekend. This was double the attendance of BLINK Cincinnati’s first iteration in 2017.
- Although BLINK was 100% free to attend, the event brought $125M in economic impact to the city of Cincinnati.
- BLINK was recognized by many globally respected art & culture publications for its massive reach, impact, and diverse range of international artists. The festival was featured in articles from Biz Bash, Colossal Magazine, Forbes, and Juxtapoz.
- Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval to declare October 19th “BLINK Appreciation Day” to celebrate BLINK’s economic, artistic, and social impact on the city.
- 17 new world-class murals have been added to Cincinnati’s already impressive line-up of public art.
