Overview
From CAT/ALINA Productions
For The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power at Comic Con Prime Video enlisted Cat/Alina Productions to curate an influencer experience. Venue 808, an industrial space, transformed into a mystical forest in Middle-earth with hundreds of real plants, vines and other natural elements.
A towering series title treatment immersed in a sea of greenery served as a photo op while a special reveal of six character costumes - Prince Durin IV, King Gil-galad, ‘Nori’, and Queen Míriel were spotted throughout the room. Leather artisans were on hand to custom initial leather bags with the series logo.
Live vines draped over the rafters while trees adorned with lanterns led to the chapel where a first look of the trailer was revealed. When departing the entire cast greeted the fans inviting them to lunch.
Three 40-person tables anchored the room as centerpieces of trailing greenery of vines, moss, mushrooms set the stage for a meal of earthly delights.
The following day the space was repurposed for hundreds of The Lord of The Rings fans in what was dubbed a “Middle-earth Moot” hosted by Prime Video and TheOneRing .net. The entire cast was on-hand to sign posters for 75 lucky guests while drinks and canapes were passed. Opportunities to take photos of the costumes and within the photo op were abundant. The trailer, made public earlier in the day, created an open space in the chapel for photos and to watch on the big screen. Takeaways included a poster and pins for all.
