As the world started to reopen and life finally gets back to normal, the dating app Match found itself in an unexpected situation. As a service that specializes in meaningful relationships, Match was excited for dating to begin again. However, as terms like “Slutty Summer” and “Hot Vax Summer” exploded in popularity this spring, it’s become clear many singles aren’t looking for the kind of commitment Match offers. Instead of discouraging these singles from hooking up, Match did the opposite this summer. In early June, they launched a nationwide campaign to LICK EVERY STRANGER YOU CAN (*consenting and safely vaccinated, of course).
To play off this campaign, LOUDER Experiences and Match created a Vaxxed & Waxed pride installation at Dallas Pride 2021. In addition to the 15’ rainbow neon photo opp, thousands of stickers were distributed to attendees saying “Kiss Me, I’m Vaxxed”. The playful slogans were a hit among the pride crowd and drew a constant line throughout the weekend. Drag emcee Marsha Dimes called the sponsorship activation a true showstopper.
