Joy To The Polls

Hunters Point was proud to support The Frontline Election Defenders to produce Joy to The Polls in select states on Election Day 2020. With the bipartisan mission of celebrating democracy and making voting as safe as possible— with PPE, social distancing and counteracting voter intimidation, The Frontline Election defenders aimed to de-escalate any tensions at the polls with live music from local celebrated musicians, while infusing the process of voting with joy, energy, and excitement and keeping it in a DIY vibe. Spanning Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania (Allentown, Harrisburg & Pittsburg), Texas, Wisconsin, Hunters Point brought 67 performers from all genres, genders and races to polling sites to entertain voters waiting in line, from early morning to past the poll close.
