S&C Electric DistribuTech 2020

S&C Electric, a Chicago based global company providing electric power solutions partnered with NEXT/NOW to create a custom mixed reality experience to show how their innovations in power solutions have paved the way for the future of power. DistribuTech 2020 was the perfect platform for thousands of visitors to check it out. Showcasing their smart grid technology and three of their products, next/now was tasked to connect the people to the technology. Next/now got to work creating several 3D environments including various natural disasters that would normally interrupt a community’s power lines. On a massive 20' x 14' long LED wall and specialized camera solutions, NEXT/NOW created a custom mixed reality platform to bring the viewers into the scenes, and told S&C’s story of how resources are used more efficiently, energy is saved, power outages are less and risks associated with electricity are dramatically reduced.
