Overview
From RED VELVET
The last sixty years bore a collection of classics and wonders alike; Austin PBS has been a pioneer in the public broadcasting space in a way that is uniquely Austin. While its deep history laid a very solid foundation for Austin PBS, the future ahead looks even brighter. No other station is more in tune with the times, accessible to ALL people of today or as committed to remaining a true reflection and inspiration to its viewers. To celebrate this next foray, RED VELVET was tasked with designing and producing a three day grand-opening for multiple audiences worthy of commemoration and commensurate with the huge move Austin PBS had made to its new facility in Central Austin.
From the Big Bird inspired centerpieces to “It’s A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” serenade on Opening Night to the long lines for Daniel Tiger and Katerina Kittycat to the birthday cupcake celebration for the late President Johnson, each and every detail that went into this three-day celebration was designed to delight and highlight the great work Austin PBS has done AND will do in the Central Texas community from its new media center.
