In the wake of COVID-19, MVRK pivoted Verizon Media's bi-annual employee event series from a 5-campus event to a completely virtual and online experience for their 20,000 employees.
For safety reasons amid the virus and due to societal changes, Verizon Media made the decision to move the entire, 5-campus, 2 country event to a later time to be determined. As society turned to computers, phones, live streams, and games to keep connecting with one another in an unprecedented time, Verizon Media’s global events team did too.
Our approach was a holistic module of education, demonstration, and competition for each featured brand’s stop within the experience. Each Verizon Media campus and office would offer a scaled iteration of the flagship Sunnyvale activations formerly developed for the in-person activations.
