Champions of Change

RISE is a national nonprofit that educates and empowers the sports community to eliminate racial discrimination, champion social justice and improve race relations. “Champions of Change” is RISE’s umbrella campaign that seeks to celebrate individuals who have led the way in the quest for racial equality and social justice. In this activation, we engage fans through a multi-sensory experience and empower the sports community by educating, evoking empathy and inspiring action. The journey begins with an educational, interactive visual display, highlighting key moments in history through the lens of sport. Fans then move to In Their Shoes, a physical locker room enclosure where they step into the shoes of an athlete and hear directly from them why they are passionate about social justice. The journey concludes with an opportunity to reflect, share personal stories and take the RISE pledge - a powerful stance against racial discrimination.
