Overview
From JD Batt Design & Photography
Reading WWII Weekend "A Gathering Of Warbirds" at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum is held the first weekend in June each year and is the largest World War II airshow in the world, with historic aircraft fly-ins from all over the country and a few from overseas. It involves dozens of rare and restored flying aircraft from the Second World War, hundreds of reenactors and volunteers, living war veterans and movie actors, and live music and stage performers evoking the life and times of the Greatest Generation. It attracts hundreds of thousands of spectators, local news networks, countless photographers and videographers, and international travelers who have flown from as far away as China to watch and participate. 2019 was my 7th year as an event photographer at the airshow.
