Samsung's Big Thank You Picnic

Samsung said "thank you" to their New Jersey employees in a big way. Held at Overpeck County Park employees were encouraged to attend the event with their family. Larger than life classic board games like Connect 4, Checkers, Giant Pong and Giant Jenga to make their staff feel like kids again. An inflatable Obstacle Course, human-sized Hungry Hippo, and a paid Samsung VP dunk tank was the real highlight. While this was a fun activity for both the think tanks of Samsung, it was also a way of raising money for a charitable cause. The proceeds of the dunk tank were donated to Junior Achievements - an organization dedicated to grooming the youth to excel in the rapidly expansive global economy. Being a picnic, good food was definitely on the menu. We provided a BBQ style lunch and, as an added touch, employees were served by their managers. There were Smoked Beef Short Ribs, Applewood Smoked Chicken and Kielbasa Sausage for meat-loving guests. Vegetarian and vegan guests were also accommodated. Vegetarian and vegan guests chowed down on Garden Salad, Banana Pudding, Macaroni Salad, Fresh Fruit Platter and good old Corn on Cob. Guests were also treated to tasty ice cream and sno-cone desserts with more than 14 different flavors on offer. We took pride in organizing this picnic event and we were thrilled to see the huge smiles on the faces of the Samsung New Jersey employees.
