Commissioned by The Ferragamo Museum for their “Sustainable Thinking” exhibition, The Names Dress is a 3D printed biodegradable gown with zero waste "fabric" made from the names of female innovators in S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) from history and the present.
Along with the dress a website (namesdress.com) and social media accounts were created to tell the stories of the over 300 women who’s names are included on the dress.
The Names Dress debuted in April of 2019 and will remain on display in Florence until March 2020.
