For the 50th Anniversary of NASA's Apollo 11 lunar landing, the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex hosted a Splashdown Party. Attendance was 13,000 people.
Client was Preschool STEM Television show "Space Racers," which ran a “When I Was Your Age…” contest, asking grandparents for their memories of the Apollo 11 mission. NASA’s Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex donated a trip to Kennedy as the grand prize and invited Space Racers to Cape Canaveral for the Party and Activation.
The campaign was enormously successful, generating 10 million+ media impressions. Space Racers COO Matthias Schmitt is pictured at the July 24 "Splashdown Party," announcing the contest winners at the “Journey to Mars” exhibit.
