Overview
This spacious gallery (400 square metres) was designed to house the world’s largest collection of paintings by Monet. Around the iconic Impression, Sunrise, some hundred masterpieces bequeathed by the painter’s family – landscapes around Argenteuil, Rouen cathedral, a unique ensemble of water-lilies and views of the garden in Giverny – offer an unmatched panorama of work by the leading figure of Impressionism.
