Overview

Originally intended as an eight-stall stable and coach house, this part of the house was never utilized for that purpose. In 1846, James Bunning, an architect employed by the City of London Corporation, was commissioned to create a new entrance on the side of the House. This entrance allowed the Lord Mayor to enter and exit without being fully visible to the general public.
