From the third floor of the hotel to the 560-square-meter Yuexuan, two "hundred fish and hundred swallow balls" with a diameter of 2.17 meters stand at the entrance to welcome guests. They were designed by Shen Jinli, a well-known Chinese lacquer master. The wishing ball, which represents good luck and can be rotated, is carved with lacquer lines to symbolize the sun and the moon. What comes into view next is the high-ceilinged cloisonné lotus pattern on the wall. Simple lines outline a gorgeous texture. The craftsmanship is exquisite and complex, incorporating the techniques of carving lacquer, jade, and ivory. The lotus composition is created with copper wire filigree, which is full of charming details. . This unique and artistic mansion-style space also elevates Beijing’s contemporary hospitality to a new level.
