Our cinema 5 was newly built, is located on the upper floor and has only been part of the Zoo Palast since it reopened in 2013. Like all our halls, this one also has very individual furnishings, which are also based on the architecture of the 50s and 60s. The design with the surrounding curtain and the distributed light dots is a tribute to the architect Gerhardt Fritsche, who was responsible for numerous new cinemas in Berlin after the Second World War and set many new accents. For a good sense of space and an optimal spatial sound, heavy and noble fabrics were used for the wall covering and the curtain. The hall is oriented towards the screen at a steep angle, so that there is an optimal view from every single seat and in combination with a row spacing of over 1, 30m, nothing is left to be desired when it comes to comfort. The hall is on the same level as our large hall and is often used for premieres.
