Sierra 2 Center for the Arts and Community
The Sierra 2 Center houses spaces for meetings, classes, receptions and gatherings of all types and sizes.
In the late 1970s, Curtis Park residents joined together to save Sierra School on 24th Street from demolition. The movement to save the school led to the formation of the Sierra Curtis Neighborhood Association (SCNA) in 1981. Today SCNA manages the transformed school building, now called the Sierra 2 Center for the Arts and Community, as a dynamic center for cultural and educational activities.
