Overview
The Regents room and the Regency room are available for an elegant, small and intimate dinner or a lavishly decorated reception for up to 40 guests in one of the most beautiful dining rooms in Amsterdam. The Regents room has beautiful views of the Amstel River and Nieuwe Herengracht, while the Regency room faces the Amstel and Nieuwe Prinsengracht. The Protestant community provided money so that the Amstelhof could be set up. This was initially only an old women's home but later also opened to men. The women and men had to be strictly be separated in the beginning. The men stayed in the Amsterdam wing and the regents (who took care of the men's side and therefore, also took care of the financial part of that wing) were in the Regents room.
