Overview
The Southall Memorial Garden is dedicated to the memory of an outstanding NC State University horticulture professor, Russell Southall, Ph.D. He was greatly loved by his students and inspired an interest in plants to many people. The garden’s concept is a hemlock tree grove containing many of his favorite plants and a space that could be used as an outdoor classroom, lunch area, and for games.
