Penny Roma is the newest culinary creation by co-chefs Ryan Pollnow and Thomas McNaughton of Flour+Water Hospitality Group, bringing the simplicity and conviviality of traditional Italian dining to San Francisco’s Mission District.
Penny Roma showcases an inviting dining room and indoor/outdoor courtyard with a truly Californian vibe, with dimly lit lights, a large open kitchen and a backdrop of whole-album playlists. We want to throw a dinner party every night and invite you to come share a meal and feel welcome in our space.
The heart of Penny Roma’s menu is pasta, inspired by tried and true classics from all over Italy. Rotating selections of fish crudi, vegetable-driven antipasti and contorni, and wood-fired primi are also prominently featured, using seasonal ingredients sourced from our favorite local farms and purveyors, capturing the beauty and bounty of the Bay Area’s offerings.
All staff is vaccinated + boosted. We are no longer requiring proof of vaccination for entry.
