About
Tomica Thompson is the owner and executive coordinator of Velvet Oasis Events. She has spent the last 20 years giving over and beyond customer service in the Fort Worth area. As a mother of eight children and seven grandchildren, she continues to celebrate life. Tomica has overcome homelessness and poverty by pushing forward, prayer and sharing her testimony of living in shelters with others. She's no stranger to hard work and has a passion for great customer service. After years of banquet serving, bartending, event planning and coordinating for friends and non-profit organizations, she decided to start her own business. Tomica is a graduate of Tarrant County College Certified Wedding and Event Planning. A member of Tarrant County Homeless Coalition Advisory Council, Build-A-Better-Hood, Uplift Generation, Mothers Against Police Brutality, and Pura Vida Afro-latin Youth. She continues to provide over and beyond customer service in every event.
