Stephanie Melissa

Stephanie Melissa Dorsainvil is a South Florida based visual artist. She has cultivated a refreshing style by mingling freeform doodling with bold, seamless line work. Her work is made up of many shapes and lines that coalesce and form a pleasing representation of diversity and unity. Stephanie is Haitian American, born in San Bernardino, California but was raised in South Florida. Her love of abstract art began with discovering the computer program Windows ‘Paint’. Fascinated by the idea of transforming a blank canvas into something unique. The fascination grew as she did and by following her own artistic intuition, now with actual paint, Stephanie eventually developed her signature style. Craving artistic expression while deciding a career path after high school, she received her cosmetology license and practiced as a hair stylist for a number of years. She also dabbled in some casual art classes like pottery and jewelry making, yet painting has always remained as her main interest. In 2017, after leaving her full-time job coordinating events in the Fort Lauderdale art community, she decided to fully pursue her art career. Stephanie has since painted more than 10 commissioned murals. She has entertained by painting live, and has had her work in countless art shows in the south Florida tri-county area. She believes she can take over just about anything with a blank surface. With each brushstroke Stephanie gives energetic life and motion to the unlikely.
