Sponsored by SXSW, Planned Parenthood set up shop at the festival to serve up a tasty assortment of donut holes and coffee to eager attendees.
With options like powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, and savory pretzel, there was something for every taste bud. But this wasn't just any food truck. The goal was to educate attendees about Planned Parenthood and all it stands for. As a nonprofit organization, Planned Parenthood has faced its fair share of controversy, especially in the state of Texas. But with the support of SXSW, they were able to spread their message to a wider audience.
Consumers were encouraged to write "I'm With Planned Parenthood because..." and place their stickers directly on the truck. This gave attendees the opportunity to share their own opinions on what Planned Parenthood meant to them and show their support for the cause.
In the end, almost 5,000 people were served delicious donuts and coffee while learning more about Planned Parenthood and its mission. It was a sweet way to make a difference and raise awareness for an important cause.
