In the summer of 2021, Sherwin-Williams and LEO began planning (for the first time) the 2022 NSM. Together, we created an operating theme for the event – Stronger, Better, Brighter – and slated the event for January 2022, live and in-person in Orlando, for nearly 10,000 managers and associates. All the traditional plans were made, and LEO began designing the World Center Marriott to accommodate a huge general session, several division sessions, and a collection of traditional breakouts and awards galas. The occasion was to be marked by the recently announced promotion of Heidi Petz as the new and first woman president of the Americas group organization. LEO and Sherwin-Williams had big theatrical moments planned to commemorate the occasion. However, by September 2021, despite all the best-laid plans, the Delta variant had proved to be much stronger and more pervasive than anybody thought that it might be, so even with vaccines in people's arms, we were required to shift. LEO made it happen with a custom look and feel for her keynote that made her comfortable and accompanied the news of this announcement in a way that was befitting of the occasion. Results: • Successfully shared Sherwin-Williams’ message with 12,000 associates and managers • 12 total days on-site for load-in, offline rehearsals, tech rehearsals, records, and load-out • 18 total recorded segments with 31 executives across the four segments of their business
