Save the Children launched their coast-to-coast mobile tour and summer reading campaign, "Summer's Better with Books" at the Santa Monica Pier with an activation that included giant sand sculptures, games and family events, and free books. After the sun set, we lit up the world-famous Ferris wheel on the Santa Monica Pier with the Save the Children logo. The event included an appearance by Save the Children Trustee, Jennifer Garner. The tour will make several stops over the summer distributing books, school supplies, and personal care items to families and children in underserved communities across the U.S.
