Adult Swim wanted to create an activation that tapped into fans obsession with their hit show Rick & Morty, and XDA executed the task and created a nationwide mobile pop-up shop tour to get these rabid fans off the screen and into the streets.
XDA brought the Rickmobile to life and mapped out a route, hitting cities with the most love for the Cartoon Network show, with over 100 locations in 2 years. From the experience to the tour logistics, BA training and staffing—XDA had it covered. A drooling mad scientist on wheels, an inflatable pickle, limited series merch—the tour oozed fun-weirdness and excitement. Fans followed along on Twitter, sharing sightings of the Rickmobile on social, and tracking it along its journey.
At every stop, more than 1,000 fans lined up early to score aggressively authentic merchandise, snap photos, and show their love.
