Slack Frontiers 2019

Slack’s annual Frontiers conference was a two-day event featuring speakers, breakout sessions, and workshops. Attendees were treated to an opening keynote from professional tennis player Serena Williams and Slack CEO Stewart Butterfield. Frontiers inspired new networking opportunities among attendees and presented potential new ways of working. During the event, several previews for upcoming Slack products were presented including the newest Shared Channels and Workflow Builder. Brown Pelican WiFi provided secure and dedicated wifi for 2,500 users and production staff that was held outdoors at both Pier 27 and Pier 29 on the Embarcadero in San Francisco. The permanent wifi network that is currently installed at both Piers, was customized to provide seamless connectivity with no downtime. Pier 27 and 29 are both premier venues where Brown Pelican WiFi has installed a permanent network that is utilized for private events, as well as providing wifi for cruise ship travelers when they come into port.
