After all, ten years running “The Race to Help Youth Experiencing Homelessness” is certainly worth celebrating! As we set out to unite our community around the mission of Covenant House Florida, we hope you will consider partnering with us in making an impact in the lives of those changed through the work at Covenant House! 10/10 Team Challenge – New This Year! As we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the race, we anticipate more than 1,000 individuals to advocate, run, or walk along Fort Lauderdale Beach! New this year is the “10/10 Team Challenge” - teams of 10 individuals, with each team committing to raise at least $1,000 per team. This new approach, coupled with individual runners, walkers, and generous sponsors, will help us increase engagement and funds raised to support the mission at Covenant House Florida! About Covenant House Florida Covenant House Florida is a residential safe haven for trafficked and at-risk youth under the age of 21 experiencing homelessness. Since opening its doors in September 1985, Covenant House Florida has sheltered over 39,000 youth. Our on-site services, in addition to basic shelter include: counseling, case management, life skills training, job readiness training, employment assistance, GED classes, health services, drug & alcohol treatment, pregnancy and parenting education, transportation assistance, and transitional housing for older youth bridging into independent living.
