Prestige and Loews Hotels partnered to show meeting planners one way that in-person meetings with a large group could still happen safely during a global pandemic.
The creation of a demo hub and spoke event showed meeting planners a strategic way that meeting planners could produce live meetings while keeping attendees socially-distanced and safe.
Prestige created one meeting simultaneously at multiple locations with 10-15 meeting planners at each location. A primary ‘hub,’ where the host of the event was located, was defined and speakers and activities were positioned in various cities.
The meeting was tied together virtually so all live attendees experienced the same content at the same time and planners were also be invited to join virtually if they could not attend in person.
Content included sales presentations, (socially distanced) team building, impromptu live entertainment and a gifting experience.
The events took place in Minneapolis, Downtown Chicago, Chicago O’Hare, Kansas City, St. Louis, Philadelphia, Nashville and Toronto. The agenda was built to accommodate multiple time zones seamlessly. Several planners from across the country also logged in and attended virtually.
