The Pineapple Agency executed an experiential activation and 20’ x 30’ trade show booth for Rivian — an adventure electric vehicle manufacturer — to introduce the brand to the outdoor community at Outdoor Retailer (OR), North America’s largest outdoor sports and recreation trade show with over 27,000 attendees.
We began by seeding the booth with an intimate VIP event featuring adventure rock climbing celebrity Alex Honnold and then bringing the brand to life through a two-story structure showcasing the vehicle that was voted Best in Show by Gear Junkie and The Adventure Podcast. The product ended up landing in Men’s Journal Top 10 at Outdoor Retailer 2019 write-up.
The experience featured a proctored conversation with free soloist Alex Honnold and Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe, a YouTube live stream of the whole event, and was filled with local vegetarian bites, custom staging, furniture, and decor that created a high-end, inviting, and informative experience for our VIP guests. The event hosted nearly 500 attendees in person and gained 270 million media impressions and 370,000 social media impressions.
