Overview
From CAT/ALINA Productions
At the Google I/O Conference in Mountain View, Ca. Cat/Alina created a space aimed at showing how Google is using their magic for the future of music.
While outfitting a 40 x 40 ft tent with interactive experiences for conference goers, they produced a 'Connections Wall' where a touch screen installation allowed users to discover music in an entirely new way: powered by the Knowledge Graph. Users were able to explore an immersive visual interface and discover interesting connections that exist between artists, albums and songs. Another activation at the event, known as the 'Music Wall' in the form of a large-scale LED installation comprising of over 3,000 earphone jacks and dynamic visuals which emphasize how Google Play Music leverages context to serve the right song at the right time. Lastly, they helped bring a VR Experience to life using innovative video and audio technology from the Google Cardboard. The experience served up a new type of music video—reimagining Queen’s iconic track, “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
