When Southwest Airlines wanted to introduce a modern look to its iconic brand, They came to Digital Media Etc., to unveil the new brand to the airline's cherished employees at its own hangar at Dallas Love Airport.
After eight weeks of careful planning, and with more than 4,000 employees and dozens of media outlets on-hand, Hangar 5 came to life using multiple 35,000 lumen projectors, state of the art proprietary mapping software, and concert-quality sound to create a pure and powerful 3D projection experience that covered more than 13,000 square feet. It was the world’s first immersive 3D/4D projection experience featuring a life-size, virtual airplane in a real-life hangar.
