OBJECTIVE Engage and connect consumers during NBA All Star Weekend 2020 with an immersive experience that combines the best of Nike Basketball and the best of Chicago. APPROACH Working with RUF Project, we orchestrated a full House of Hoops takeover of the existing Foot Locker store on State St. in Chicago. Our work to bring the concept to life included: project management, site management, scenic planning and scenic services, technical planning and show services, lighting, rigging, audio, and video integration. One challenge revolved around the 5 LED walls in the space that required daily content changes based on athlete appearances and sneaker releases. In addition to the numerous shoe drops and athlete appearances, consumers participated in activities like panel discussions, a Space Jam movie screening, training sessions, adapt trialing, and NBA2K live gaming sessions. RESULTS By highlighting notable athletes and giving sneaker fans a place to celebrate the game, the experience left a lasting impression on the city of Chicago.
