Ottawa Riverkeeper Ride the Rider Parade

In celebration of Canada's 150th birthday in 2017, Ottawa Riverkeeper hosted a historical event on the Ottawa River - the Rider the River Parade. Featuring 400 participants from both Ontario and Quebec, the parade traveled from one end of the Ottawa River to another. From canoes to kayaks to stand-up paddle boards, a ferry, motorized boats and sailboats, event attendees of all ages and abilities celebrated the Ottawa River and Canada's birthday with a one hour ride followed by a picnic at the Canadian Aviation Museum.
